Kite meeting Zeebrugge 28/08/2026

Image
Today we joined the kite meeting in Zeebrugge, organised by Tweelijner.be . 🪁 A beautiful late-summer day with gentle, steady winds in the morning, perfect conditions for the first flight of our Revolution Dragon with its head and tail attached! 🐉💙 What a magnificent kite! She looks absolutely stunning in the sky… and it certainly has some serious pulling power! 😍 Of course, our dual-line kites couldn’t be left at home either. They also enjoyed some time in the Zeebrugge sky. 🪁 https://www.tweelijner.be/index.php/galerij-tweelijners/13-foto-album Another wonderful day filled with kites, flying and great people. ❤️

Kite Festival Oostende – A Day Full of Wind, Sun & Smiles

Image
Today we headed to the kite festival in Oostende, and what a fantastic day it was! 😁 The wind was absolutely amazing in the morning. Straight from the sea… it really doesn’t get much better than that! 🌊💨 Our swallows and ladybugs were flying beautifully, and they were definitely loved by the visitors too. They attracted lots of attention, smiles and, of course, plenty of photos. Our kites were real little celebrities today! 🐦❤️🐞📸 In the afternoon, the wind became a little less stable, so we had to bring the swallows back down. But that didn’t stop us from flying! We switched to our quadlines with the shorter lines, and once again quite a few curious spectators stopped to watch and ask questions. We always love taking the time to explain what we’re doing and share our passion for kiting. 😊 The sun also decided to join us in the afternoon, making it even more enjoyable. ☀️ And as the day went on, more and more people arrived to enjoy the festival. All in all, it was a wonderful da...

Kite Festival Cadzand 2026

Image
After our previous experiences at different kite festivals, we headed to Cadzand in 2026. The event lasted two days, but we went on Saturday. And what a lucky day we picked! The wind was really good, giving us the perfect conditions to fly our quadline kites. We got lots of questions from curious visitors, and we were more than happy to stop, explain and share our passion for kites and flying.                             Picture: Liza Hennin Our ladybugs were a big hit with the children too. 🐞 They attracted plenty of smiles and curious little faces, which is always wonderful to see. But the real attention came when Tony started setting up our swallows. Almost immediately, people gathered around us, curious to see what we were building. Our little swallows clearly made an impression! It was fantastic to see so many people interested in our kite project. And then, as the cherry on top, we got a wonderful and completel...

Kite Away 25 juli 2026

Kite Away Bredene – Our Next Step After our great experience at the kite festival in Westende, we made a decision: we wanted to visit more kite festivals! 🪁 The first one that came our way was Kite Away Bredene. At that time, we didn't have a very large collection of kites yet. Our ladybirds were there, of course. ❤️🐞 They were already a big hit and attracted plenty of attention. We also brought our quad-line kite with us. Once there was a little more space to fly, after the sea had retreated, we took the opportunity to get it up in the air. It was another great experience and a chance to enjoy the atmosphere of a kite festival. And once again, we met lots of lovely people and other kite enthusiasts. Our collection may have been small back then, but our enthusiasm was already growing quickly. It was clear: we wanted more! 😉 More festivals, more kites, more flying… and, most importantly, more great people to share our passion with. Our KiteOn adventure was only just beginning. 🪁...

A New Swallow for Our Flock 🪁

Image
A new KiteOn project is taking shape! To keep our flock of swallows stable in the air, we decided to create a larger swallow that can help support and stabilise the flock of eight. We ordered the necessary materials, and Tony got to work. First came the challenge of drawing the larger swallow to scale. Then the fabric was carefully cut, followed by sewing, finishing and putting all the pieces together. Step by step, the new swallow came to life. And we have to admit: we are pretty proud of the result! 💙💛 Today, it was time for the first real test. We wanted to find out which tow line would work best to keep our flock of eight swallows stable in the air. There is still some testing and fine-tuning to do, but seeing our own creation up in the sky for the first time was already a fantastic moment.  🪁🪁🪁

Brouwersdam 2026-118 kites in the Sky

Image
https://facebook.com/events/s/11th-international-quadline-me This year, we decided to make our annual trip to Brouwersdam a little more special and booked a full long weekend there. Every year, during the Ascension weekend, the Brouwersdam Quadline Meeting takes place. It is a wonderful gathering where quadline flyers from different countries come together. Some fly individually, while others form teams and fly together. For us, it is always something special to be part of this international kite-flying community. The weather wasn't exactly fantastic this year. The conditions were quite challenging at times, with rain, changing winds and periods where the wind simply disappeared. But, of course, that didn't stop the flyers! And we had another reason to stop by: we picked up our new flying lines for team flying there. They were made to the correct length for team flying and are top-quality lines, supplied through vliegertakkitelines.  http://www.vliegertakkitelines.nl/ A new wor...

Test flying

Image
Today we headed to Lange Munte in Kortrijk for another day of flying and testing. We’re always welcome there, and there’s plenty of space to fly, which makes it a great place to try out new kites and ideas. The wind wasn’t exactly ideal today. At times we had a nice, steady 3–4 Bft, but then suddenly the wind would drop away completely. Definitely challenging conditions! But we had plenty to test. First up was our new 6 m² pilot, which we were really excited to get into the air for the first time. We also tested our new 6-metre festival spinner and were curious to see how it would behave in the changing wind. And there was another challenge on the list: stack flying with our Revolution kites. We wanted to test how our Revs behave when flown together as a stack and see what it takes to control them as a team. The changing wind didn’t make things easy, but that’s all part of flying kites. Sometimes you just have to wait for the wind to come back, make a few adjustments and try again. Ano...

Kite festival Westende 2026

Image
Our visits to the Westende Kite Festival We regularly stay in Middelkerke, a Belgian seaside town that has become a familiar place for us. Every year, during the second weekend of June, the town comes alive with a large kite festival, one of the bigger kite events in the region. But there is much more to experience than just the kites. Alongside the festival, there is a large gathering of Volkswagen vans, a braderie and plenty of other activities. It makes for a great atmosphere and definitely a weekend worth experiencing. The first year, we simply went to have a look and enjoy all the beautiful kites from the sidelines. But this year was very different. We visited the festival every afternoon and, for the first time, we were able to fly our quad-line kites as a team of four. What an experience! A huge thank you to Fenix Pair and the Holland Kite Team for their trust and for giving us the opportunity to join them. Flying together as a team was something we had been looking forward to, ...
