Zeebrugge-dual line kites

Prism hypnotist Fire

In the summer of 2025, we headed to Zeebrugge, where a monthly kite gathering takes place, organised through https://www.tweelijner.be/

We were warmly welcomed and immediately felt very comfortable among the other kite flyers.

At that time, we didn’t have much experience with performing tricks with a Dual-Line kite. Luckily, we quickly received lots of advice and useful tips, for which we are incredibly grateful. We learned not only more about the tricks themselves, but also about which equipment would be better for us to buy in the future and which lines would be most suitable.

We were amazed by how quickly and effortlessly the experienced flyers performed their tricks. 😍 It all looked so easy… but we now realise how much practice, feeling and technique is involved. We still have a lot to learn! πŸ˜‰

Our main focus is currently on Quad-Line flying. That is where we want to continue developing our skills and gaining more experience. But we definitely want to keep working on our Dual-Line flying as well, so that in time we can perform the proper tricks with confidence.

Step by step, with plenty of practice and, most importantly, lots of fun. Because for us, that is what kite flying is all about: discovering, learning and enjoying everything this wonderful hobby has to offer. πŸͺ❤️

During the gatherings, beautiful photographs are taken by Hugo Maes. You can find his photos, as well as more information about Dual-Line kite flying, on https://www.tweelijner.be/

Definitely worth taking a look! πŸͺπŸ“Έ
