How our kite flying journey began

Kite flying has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a child, I often went flying kites with my father. We especially loved flying dual-line kites. As the years passed, that passion slowly faded, mainly because we no longer had enough space to enjoy the hobby.

Everything changed when we started spending more time at the Belgian coast. Being back on the beach brought back so many wonderful memories and rekindled my love for kite flying. I shared those memories with my husband, and before long, he wanted to give it a try himself. He started with a simple dual-line kite from Decathlon.

During one of our trips, we discovered a four-line kite for the first time. It immediately caught his attention, and he began experimenting with it. Little by little, we both fell in love with the unique control and precision that four-line kites offer.

At that time, we still had our beloved Whippet, Keaton. While my husband was practising, I would often stay with Keaton, enjoying our time together on the beach. He was always part of our adventures.

Sadly, we lost Keaton in 2025. He left a huge hole in our hearts. To honour his memory, we chose the name KiteOn for our team—a tribute to Keaton, whose spirit we feel is still flying alongside us every time we launch our kites.

Since 2025, we have been flying together as a team, focusing mainly on four-line kites. What began as a cherished childhood memory has grown into a shared passion that brings us peace, joy, friendship, and countless unforgettable moments.

Every kite we fly tells a small part of our story—and every flight is dedicated to the memory of Keaton.
