Kite Festival Cadzand 2026

After our previous experiences at different kite festivals, we headed to Cadzand in 2026. The event lasted two days, but we went on Saturday. And what a lucky day we picked!

The wind was really good, giving us the perfect conditions to fly our quadline kites. We got lots of questions from curious visitors, and we were more than happy to stop, explain and share our passion for kites and flying.

Our ladybugs were a big hit with the children too. 🐞 They attracted plenty of smiles and curious little faces, which is always wonderful to see.

But the real attention came when Tony started setting up our swallows. Almost immediately, people gathered around us, curious to see what we were building. Our little swallows clearly made an impression! It was fantastic to see so many people interested in our kite project.

And then, as the cherry on top, we got a wonderful and completely unexpected surprise. Some very good friends came to visit us! ❤️ They even helped us pack everything up and carry it back to the car.

After such a lovely day, we ended it by having a drink together and enjoying some more time with our friends.

Good wind, beautiful kites, curious visitors, happy children, our swallows, and an unexpected visit from dear friends.

Sadly, we later learned that this would be the last edition of the Cadzand kite festival. We really hope that someone else will take over the organisation in the future, so this lovely event can continue. 🤞

Cadzand 2026 was definitely a day to remember! 🪁🐞🕊️
